BOSR provides program evaluation services using quantitative and qualitative methods to determine the impact of programs’ efforts relative to their stated goals and objectives. BOSR has served as an outside evaluator for grant-funded research. Below are featured program evaluations.
Mid-America Transportation Center

Population studied: Attendees of the MATC Scholars Program
Methods Completed: Pre-survey, post-survey, focus groups
BOSR contributions: Questionnaire design, methodology development, data collection, project management, data analysis and reporting
Outcome: The program aims to promote graduate study among underrepresented minorities and women in the transportation-related fields. BOSR has evaluated how well the program meets this goal every year the program has been offered since 2012.
McNair Scholars Program Evaluation

Population studied: UNL students in the McNair Scholars Program
Methods Completed: Multiple web surveys
BOSR contributions: Questionnaire design, methodology development, data collection, project management, data analysis and reporting
Outcome: The program aims to increase the number of underrepresented students in doctoral programs by allowing selected undergraduate students opportunities to define goals, engage in research, and develop the skills and relationships necessary to prepare them for success at the doctoral level while receiving a stipend. BOSR has evaluated how well the program meets this goal every year since 2017.
Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Program in Chemistry
